Why should teli-vision productions create my DVD slide show?
Don't be fooled. There are lots of inexpensive slide show software programs out there. That doesn't mean you will get the professional results you want. We optimize EVERY ONE of your photos, so your photos look their best on screen. Our careful attention to detail in slide shows is simply unmatched. To ensure your DVD will withstand the effects of time, we use the finest media available. Each photo is carefully animated by a professional designer – we do not produce "cookie cutter" presentations. Your slide show will come complete with pans, zooms, tilts, and captions. We utilize the "Ken Burns" effect, commonly known as the "pan and scan" effect. This method brings each photo to life by slowly zooming in on focal points, panning across a photo with several people, or zooming out from the key person(s) in the picture.
Which photos should I choose to include in my project?
You may already know the exact pictures you'd like to include in your DVD Slide Show, but here are some additional tips that may help.
Choose pictures that are candid and show character/emotion. The more "emotion" in the photo, the more it will be enjoyed by the viewers.
Choose a mix between close ups (individual) and group photos.
Choose more horizontal shots than vertical shots when possible.
Stay away from photos that are too small or out of focus.
How many photos can be in the DVD slide show?
Technology permits us to put hundreds of photos on a DVD without any problems. We make it simple for you to determine your own budget by only charging per picture. We do highly recommend a minimum for 40 photos. In the end, it's entirely up to you how many pictures you would like.
How many photos do I need to fill 5 (or 10, or 20) minutes?
50 photos result approximately in a 8 to 9 minute production.
100 photos result approximately in a 9 to 14 minute production.
150 photos can be 14 to 16 minutes long.
500 photos…more than an hour
1000 photos…two hours+

What if my photos are still in frames or scrapbooks?
Please remove photos from the frames or scrapbooks before sending them to us.
Can I scan the pictures myself and send them to you?
You sure can! You may scan them and burn them to a CD. Please let us know if you will be scanning the photos yourself, so that we can give you scanning tips! Give them an identifying number that corresponds with the order you would like them to appear in the show (i.e. - 001, 002, 003 etc.)
How should I choose the order for my photos?
We will prepare your project in the exact order that you would like us to! If you need help with choosing the "best" order, we would be more than happy to assist you when we meet to discuss the details of your show.
Can I pick my own music?
Yes! Actually we ask that you supply us with an original copy of the song(s) that you would like to use. Use of tracks will be covered under your fair rights of ownership act. If you need some ideas we can provide you with a list of popular songs we have used in the past!
What about including video clips?
A wonderful addition to any slide show is video. Try to keep video clips down to only a few minutes. Please inform us of the type of media you will be using (VHS, 8mm etc.). Add $20 for each video clip.
How long does the slide show creation take?
Once everything has been received, typical production time is approximately 10-12 days.
What if I need my slide show sooner?
Don't worry! We accommodate rush orders! Any order needed in less than 10 days is considered a "rush order." If you need to place a "rush" order, the turn around time is approximately 48-72 hours. The charge for this service is $50.
